Inner Healing: A Journey to Self Love

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:5)
My journey to self-love was long and tumultuous. I fell in and out of love with myself. (More “out “than “in” if I’m being honest.) I will be even more candid with you, I hated myself. As cliché as it sounds, I was my own worst enemy.
I hid this disdain for myself from others. Everyone around me thought I was well adjusted, happy, normal. I played my role very well. But if anyone was paying close attention, my actions would’ve given me away. I didn’t “act” like someone who truly loved themselves. My behavior was self-destructive and self-pity consumed me.
What is Inner Healing? I like to refer to it as a supernatural journey of the soul:
I spent the majority of my life living in darkness. That sounds dramatic but it's true. I had no true concept of the cross and what actually took place after the ressurrection of Christ. I just knew I was "forgiven" from my sins.
in retrospect, I didn't really understand that concept either. I say that because I lived a life full of guilt and shame. I felt doomed to sin because afterall nobody is perfect right? Because of that guilt and shame, among other things, I felt unworthy of love, from any source; especially God.
You are in a much better position than I was. Not only do you have someone who truly understands the process that is going on inside your mind; you have a living example that it can be conquered supernaturally. Please understand that my experiences are my own, and that our journeys will look different, but the road will eventually lead to the same destination, FREEDOM.
Unpacking Your Bags:
In this series we are going to focus on your self-esteem in both the natural and the spiritual. To ease you into this whole kingdom of darkness and light reality, we’ll focus on the “natural” aspects first. I will include worksheets from my "Working Inside Out" ebook,. (not yet available.)
Remember it is a process. My suggestion is that in your heart, you sincerely desire to be healed and ready to let go of the emotional crutches that have kept you in spiritual darkness. I’m always available to talk and or pray. You can "Like me" on Facebook!
Remember
Our “hope” is in Jesus Christ,
Let us pray...
Abba Father,
I thank you for the opportunity to mentor souls and guide them back into the safety of your arms. We ask that you remove anything that is unpleasing to you and may hinder our prayer. Forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Lord, fill our temples with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Father, today we seek complete healing and deliverance. Remove all demonic seeds that were planted. Heal every wound created as a result of that satanic crop.
We know that there is nothing too hard for you and no task too small. Your love for us has given us the right to live in freedom and we are claiming our birthright NOW.
We believe in your restorative power God and ask you to break every chain, renew our minds and create in us a clean heart. Replenish our temples with your peace, joy and unconditional love. We thank you and praise you, for we know it is already done.
In Jesus’ name we pray
Amen
