Our Worship is Warfare

A few months ago I was suffering from panic attacks and extreme bouts of fear everyday for seven days. For the majority of my life I’d battled with depression and suicidal thoughts. After God supernaturally delivered me I have been a force to reckon with in regard to spiritual warfare. That was until this more recent attack. I would wake up in the middle of the night with heart palpitations, numbness of my tongue and a number of other things that convinced me I was going to die. My dear friend Pastor Shantelle told me the enemy was in full attack mode and I needed to war.

I knew how to do that, even though this was a new battleground I certainly understood which weapon to use for this fight, worship!

I repeated scriptures aloud decreeing and declaring God as my protector and my strong tower. I sung songs of praise to shift the atmosphere, I prayed earnestly and I worshiped God with all my heart. Exalting Him above everything and everyone else. I continuously proclaimed His love for me. And you know what, it worked! I had never been physically attacked by the enemy before, but that week taught me a few lessons. One being, it’s hard to believe the lies of the enemy when you're victoriously celebrating and professing the promises of God!

Let us pray…

Jehovah Nissi,

You are my rock, my strong tower, my banner. I put my trust in you God for I know you will fight for me. Because you will protect me, I sing a new song of worship and celebration. My heart dances with joy, basking in the triumph of your victory over every dark force that rises against me. I have no need to be afraid, for your perfect love casts out all fear. I am filled with your spirit and your divine power. Continue to keep me hidden from those who would cause me harm. Encase me in the circumference of your wings, for under your watchful eyes I am safe in your arms.

In Jesus' Name

Amen
