Using A Little S.O.A.P.

Sometimes we allow life to become so hectic we forget to let the word of God and the Holy Spirit mentor and minister to us. We should allow the word and the Spirit to write on the tablets of our hearts. In the same manner that we sit down to pen love letters or when we write down our thoughts in our journals, we must learn to have that same exchange with God. The Bible is God’s love letter to us as believers. His word is living and active, We must introduce ourselves daily to God’s word learning to use a little S.O.A.P. to ensure that we are kept clean and presentable to the father.

Using a little "soap", will keep the confines of our heart in order with His will. Allowing it to be a cleansing factor for the flesh, which we must slay daily. So take time to indulge yourself in the luxurious word of God. Study and hide His word in your heart that you may keep your spirit clean. Here’s to using a Little Soap today!

What is S.O.A.P?

S= Scripture, find one, speak it…write it

O= Observe... just what is God is telling you...speak Holy Spirit

A= Apply scripture to your circumstance, how will it help you

P= Prayer…..pray about everything, never cease, it’s an open call to God

Today's Prayer

Father God on today teach me how to take time so that your word and the Holy Spirit can mentor and minister to me. Write upon the tables of my heart the words of your love. May I soak in your scriptures that they will become like a soothing balm to this flesh that I must slay daily. May your words find the hard places in my heart and life, may I come to realize that they are a cleansing factor for this long journey I walk with you. May I never get to busy to honor your word and its power. Open my mind and heart that I might diligently hide your word Father that I may keep clean before you.
