Strength in Our Weakness

Often times life and this world we live in will make us feel inadequate. We feel helpless and we become overwhelmed. Hopelessness takes over and we become physically, emotionally, mentally and yes spiritually weak. But there is yet hope, we are not held hostage by this temporal state of being. It should not define us. We remeber that in our lack of strength, Jesus is strong. He took on human flesh so that we may live a life of power. He faced fears and temptations, but He never failed. He trusted God and relied on the sustaining power of the Holy Spirit. Be assured that in our moments of weakness God sees us. We can find peace in knowing that God enables us to go through our trials so that our spirits may grow and prosper. He uses the very thing we regard as deplorable and uses it to draws us to Him. Teaching us to trust and rely upon Him.

His grace is enough to help us face obstacles and setbacks. We are delivered through His love and mercy, He cares for every pain, every tear and fear, every worry that we may face. Stand even in your weakest moments; knowing that grace and deliverance is just a knee bend away.

Today's Prayer

Oh most gracious God, when I am weak I know that you are strong. When I face my moments of weakness allow me to lovingly rest upon your strength. Please cover me with your blanket of hope and peace. Absorb all of my worries and troubles. Allow me to continuously cast all my cares upon the altar. May your wings of might and your glorious presence encamp all around me, hiding me from the darts of the enemy. May I daily slay my flesh, bringing it under subjection to your will. Send forth your Spirit Lord, into my heart, so that I may be pleasing to you.

Amen
